Fantastic food!!!!! We are visiting from Texas and Virginia and consider this the best food in a while.

Two words: chop beef. What a fun discovery, this place is great. It's been a family BBQ business since 1950. They smoke 9 types of meat the BBQ sauce is homeade and sold by the pint.
The chop beef large sandwich combo comes with BBQ beans that are sweet and mustard potato salad. The beef is messy and delicious. Drinks are cans of sodas.
I'm from Arizona and I was invited back by Levi the owner to try some other dishes and "chew the fat". I love how friendly people are in Louisiana! All the other patrons called him by name when they walked in. This adds to the charm. -

Came here looking for great BBQ, found decent BBQ. I've eaten BBQ all around the country, but very little Louisiana style-- if that's what you want to call this. I got the Rib plate, it was a healthy amount of food for the price and the sides were done properly. (The potato salad could have come out of a deli counter at the local grocery and you could tell the baked beans were a local, homemade recipe). The Ribs were cooked well and heavily smoked, but aside from the smoke flavor, very little else. The BBQ sauce is vinegar based, mild and in my opinion generally unremarkable.
I would not eat here again if given comfortable choices. -

A family tradition of great barbecue! We had the chicken, sliced beef, and pulled pork. I'll get the pulled pork again next time. Delicious with no fatty pieces.

First let me say the customer service was down to earth and great! I didnt know what to get but the man behind the counter ( I believe hes the owner) helped me. I got the rib sandwich, potato salad (my 1 year old devoured it) and T H E most deliciously moist sock it to me cake , I would drive 20 minutes to Leesville just to get the cake and some potato salad for my baby lol
